The new 900-bed hospital is strategically important for Istanbul, as it is built in Kartal, one of the most densely opulated boroughs. A modern, sustainable and safe structure, built according to the most modern anti-seismic principles, equipped with 855 isolators, with the aim of guaranteeing functional continuity, even in the event of high-intensity earthquakes.
The design approach focuses on the patient – through human-friendly environments, respecting privacy and functional organization – and on therapeutic excellence, thanks to a departmental organization that encourages interdisciplinary work as well as increasing staff efficiency and that allows the perfect combination between existing and future professionals and technologies.
