Proger certifies 43 new Level 2 inspectors for the surveillance of bridges, viaducts and tunnels
First two training and certification sessions completed under the Visual Testing method (VTciv) in compliance with Italian standard UNI 11931:2024
Proger has successfully completed its first two Level 2 certification sessions under the Visual Testing method (VTciv), in compliance with UNI 11931:2024, the Italian standard governing the qualification of personnel responsible for the inspection of civil infrastructure. A total of 43 specialists have been certified in the structural surveillance of bridges, viaducts and tunnels, and in the execution of non-destructive testing (NDT) activities.
The 68-hour training programme, organised by Tiquadro Form and certified by Tiquadro Cert, combined theoretical modules with hands-on fieldwork. The sessions were led by Domenico Dicuonzo, Proger’s Area Coordinator for Central and Southern Italy and a Level 3 inspector under UNI 11931:2024, one of the most experienced engineers in the company in this field, with years of practice and thousands of completed inspections to his name.
The decision to entrust part of the training process to an internal professional served a dual purpose: ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements while reinforcing a consistent methodological approach to field inspection activities, aligned with Proger’s own operational standards.
