HOW PROGER “COMMUNICATES PROGER"
Logics, tools and times to tell the best of us

Our company grows, changes, evolves and, among the changes introduced by the new company’s organization, the Communication sector is an absolute novelty.
Company communication was a concept that did not belong to us, hence we have all tried to understand its value and the way it could improve our way of working.
In particular, in the last few years, we have developed the need to “communicate Proger” to the outside in a more effective way, mainly after the important and challenging internationalization process. This gave rise to the need of a new image, a new website, new brochures: tools built at different times and in different ways, that need to be further updated and constantly improved, in order to present our company with a contemporary style, more immediate and appropriate.
Therefore, the new Corporate function derives from the need of an “External Communication”, although, as we go along, we have also understood the importance of an “Internal Communication”, namely a new way of dealing with the company’s functions and colleagues, by establishing an information flow network, able to favour relations and share knowledge: the “Interoperativity” concept.
For this reason we have launched a program of activities and new tools, starting from this Company Newsletter, as well as the internal and external news: these are the first steps leadings us to the sharing of information, updates, news about Proger’s projects, events and initiatives.
Another important goal to be achieved as effective strategy and support tool to the Internal Communication and to the Interoperativity will be the “New Intranet”, as Work and Communication Integrated Platform, thought to be the access door thanks to which each one of us can carry out his/her work; this will be our new desk, a unique working environment through which the user can work and collaborate in an effective way, collect and share information and be always updated on what is happening within his/her working team and within the whole company.
This is a challenging project, in line with the ambitious development perspectives of our company, to be carried out gradually and by relying on everyone’s participation.
As such a project also involves a significant economic investment, we believed necessary to proceed step by step, starting with the use of what we have in the company, namely not only with the support of our internal resources of the Communication sector, but also with the technical and IT services, as well as the support of all the colleagues offering their contribution.
The first step was to map and integrate the contents of our Intranet, giving it a new image and extending it to Saudi Arabia, as will happen later this year, and then to the other branches abroad. In fact, while at the time being there is either an Intranet for the Italian Users and a portal (My Proger) for the Saudi Arabia users, in a short time there will be a “Unified Intranet” for all of Proger’s resources, both in Italy and abroad, customized according to the different needs.
The survey we have submitted you a few days ago was also a way to question what we proposed, by asking opinions and suggestions on the newsletter and on the new layout of the Intranet. Your feedbacks shall be carefully assessed and transposed to have a better tool, suited to everyone’s needs.
Of course the company Communication cannot solve problems or change our way of working, but I would like that each one of us started considering it as a “facilitator” to work in a better way, besides being an efficient “tester” for all our company sectors.
We are sure that the spreading of information and know-how will contribute in making everyone more involved and motivated, by emphasizing the great effort we are all making.
