UNIVERSITY OF URALSK:
WORKSHOP ON
THE DEVELOPMENT OF KAZAKHSTAN
Proger is among the organisers of an event promoting networking among International companies, academic world and local institutions
Last 1st October, Proger has organized, together with its local company Caspian Proger LLP Engineering & Consulting, a workshop in Kazakhstan at the “West Agrarian Technical University named after Zhangir Khan” of Uralsk, titled University and foreign companies: partnership, opportunities and prospects of development.
The objective of the workshop was to discuss, suggest and indentify possible strategies for the economic and social development of the territory through the creation of new synergies.
The event has represented the occasion for our company to promote an initiative to facilitate the networking among the academic world, public local institutions and oil companies working in the country, in order to stimulate and encourage the creation of new business opportunities.
Michelangelo Tortorella, Executive Vice-President and Executive Director of the Oil & Gas Energy, has attended the event stating that “Proger wanted to organize this workshop with the university of Uralsk, in the light of the high level experience gained over the years in the management of important projects for universities and oil companies in different countries worldwide. Of course I refer to the Campus in Chieti, or for instance to the Campuses in Capa, Cerrahpasa and Avcilar in Turkey; to the headquarters and to the residential complex for AGIP KCO in Kazakhstan or to the most recent project for ENI Afungi Camp residences in Mozambique. To set goals and to be able to achieve them means to put in place the outstanding qualities of our company culture: competences, professionalism and respect of the territory, but also creativity, flexibility and transversality”.

At the same time, this initiative has offered Proger the opportunity to present, in front of different representatives of the local media, the results achieved during the first year of Progetto Giovani (Youth Project), the three-year training project undersigned with the aim of supporting the training of some Kazakh students to favour the creation of technical skills at local level and to create new job opportunities.
“This experience began with the participation of 68 students”, stated Gaetano Crisci, Executive General Director of Caspian Proger. “22 of them lived the experience of the training program offered, by demonstrating big commitment and 6 of them have become part of the Caspian Proger team in Aksai”.
