PROGER HAS OBTAINED THE ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION
Carla Mason, Daniela Viserta, Jacopo Benedetti, Enzo Marano, Sandra Di Marcoberardino e Daniela D’Amato talk about the ISO 9001 certification that our company obtained on 29th October, among the very first in Italy in conformity with the new laws

Dear Colleagues,
as most of you remeber, last 6th July we obtained the new certificates related to the company’s management system for environment and safety (14001 and 18001).
Afterwards, taking the opportunity of the three-year deadline of our ISO 9001 Quality system certification, we have started serious work aimed at entirely refacing the quality system and rearranging the processes, by taking into account both the new addresses of the norm and the need of identifying a working model to be used by the whole Proger group, in Italy and Abroad, appropriate to the new company reality. Hence we have brought a series of significant changes referring to:

  • The extension of the certificate to the foreign branches through the multisite certificate: the new certificate, besides covering our historical offices in San Giovanni Teatino, Rome and Milan, will be valid for the Marsicovetere (PZ) office, the branches in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Pointe Noire (Congo) and for the subsidiary companies Caspian Proger LLC (Kazakhstan) and Proger MOZ l.d.a. (Mozambique).
  • The extension of the scope of the certificate: the new quality system, besides certifying the design, construction supervision and safety coordination activities, contemplates the Procurement and the Project &Construction Management.
  • The use of the English language: given the international attitude of the company’s activity we considered as necessary the use of the English language as only reference for the documentation, processes and forms.
  • The compliance with the system to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard: due to the recent publication of the new norm, we have rewritten our system in compliance with the new standard, considering aspects such as the risk analysis and the management of quality registration as “documented information”. This last aspect will gradually lead us to a simplification of the daily activities, through a relevant “alignment” between what is registered in our ordinary daily activities and what has to be registered to the purposes of the quality requirements.

Moreover, a more schematic rearrangement of the processes  has directly involved the company’s resources in this activity: the spirit of cooperation showed by our colleagues in these months has highlighted how the validity of the processes developed daily can be only supported through a continuous update of the processes and through a proactive involvement of the direct users.
In fact, the main aim of the new ISO norm refers to “the detailed distribution of the necessary commitment to provide products and services in compliance with the standards”: from the commitment of the top management to the direct devolvement of responsibility of all resources.
This simplification procedure is only the beginning and shall require time and commitment by all of us. In the meantime, we take this opportunity to thank all those colleagues that have contributed to the first review of our system’s processes, in particular Paola Vaglio and Andrea Palozzo (Design) Michele Arena and Silvia Angeloro (construction supervision), Nicola Sciarra and Sabrina Greco (safety coordination), Dino Barbaresi, Sergio Bot and Antonio Findanno (Procurement), Dorella Surace, Giada Giubilato and Giuseppe Flacco (work order acquisition), Adriana D’Alessandro (Human Resources), Pierluca Di Dorotea (IT) and Alessandra Amato (management of regulation)”.
