Safety checks of the Mont Blanc Tunnel

Proger, in Joint Venture with Bureau Veritas and SINA, was awarded the tender for the inspection, and thus all the safety checks of the Mont Blanc Tunnel, one of the most important infrastructures in Europe, whose traffic touched 2 million vehicles in 2019 (of which 628,000 heavy vehicles).

The checks will be performed from the beginning of 2021 and no road interruption is planned, but closures will be considered in order to limit traffic to a single carriageway.

The new inspection work marks the continuation of the commitment undertaken by Proger and Bureau Veritas in the last year as part of the verification and control activities of tunnels and viaducts on the Italian motorway network, confirming the validity and effectiveness of the technical inspection methods adopted.
