Following a study on the distribution and supply of second-generation biomass in the areas of interest, Proger has developed a project to build a plant for the production of bioethanol from partially imported and partially produced cellulosic biomass. The plant will be able to produce 100,000 tonnes per year of bioethanol, from 460,000 tonnes of biomass, through twin lines based on PROESA technology, developed since the early 2000s by the Mossi & Ghisolfi Group.
