Pedemontana Lombarda Motorway

Description

Executive design (carried out in B.I.M.) for the construction of two sections of the Pedemontanata Lombarda motorway, with a value of works of approximately € 1.26 billion. The project, which must be completed for the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in 2026, concerns sections B2 (12.7 km from Lentate sul Seveso to Cesano Maderno) and C (20 km from Cesano Maderno to Milan A51 east ring road) and related works.

Among the main features of the project, particular attention was paid to identifying solutions capable of improving the landscape insertion of artificial tunnels above ground, by shielding, mitigating and decreasing the visual, landscape and environmental impact of those areas subject to the works, along with the construction site areas.
