Spaceport: Proger JV is awarded the tender for the design

The first infrastructure in Italy for suborbital commercial flight and flexible access to space

The tender for the construction of the first National Spaceport was awarded to the group made up of ADR Ingegneria, Proger, Rina Consulting and Architetto Camerana. A 120-million euro investment for an infrastructure dedicated to aerospace and suborbital and orbital flights, the new frontier of air transport, which will be built at Taranto-Grottaglie airport, an integrated logistics and technical platform dedicated to the development of the New Space Economy.

The project concerns the construction of the infrastructure and flight areas for the spaceport, multifunctional hangar for the storage, assembly and maintenance of vehicle systems, a museum, an area for events and themed attractions and a multifunctional building intended for a business incubator, research and training institutions.
