“Ortomercato” Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market in Milan
Overview
The company, after being awarded the international ideas competition, has prepared the Feasibility Study to investigate various sustainability scenarios – both technical and financial – for the redesign of the New Wholesale Market and for the redevelopment of the surrounding areas, that led to the conception of the first Scientific and Technologic Food Park (Pa.S.T.A.). A great project for Milan that, “linking back” the are to the urban fabric, could potentially allow the market to be built in a perspective of public-private partnerships.
