“Massari Palace” Museum in Ferrara

Overview

Restoration and development of the museum complex “Palazzo Massari – Order of Malta” in Ferrara. Since 1975 it has housed the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the city and now it also houses the collections of three other museums. The project proposes a redevelopment work aiming at giving the building back to the city and to its visitors after the 2012 earthquake. A more modern and welcoming museum, thanks to new and functional exhibition paths. The work has also a strong urban implication, because it will restore the original relation between the palace and the nearby park.
